Shakespeare’s History Plays | Taylor Swift or Shakespeare

The best way to hack the TikTok algorithm in April of 2024? Taylor Swift.

To coincide with the Guthrie Theater’s staging of Shakespeare’s Richard II, Henry IV and Henry V, I put out a call to staff, actors and production members, asking them to participate in a TikTok challenge where they had to distinguish between Taylor Swift lyrics and Shakespeare quotes. It is the Guthrie Theater’s highest-performing upload on any social media channel to date.

Little Shop of Horrors | Audrey II Puppet Reveal

The summer musical at the Guthrie Theater this year was Little Shop of Horrors, featuring the iconic man-eating plant Audrey II, controlled by a puppeteer. To build excitement and showcase the creativity of the Guthrie Theater’s production team, who reimagined Audrey II at each stage of growth, I created this TikTok.

Student Matinee sales email sent to patrons and educators. The purpose of this was to provide awareness and drive sales of the upcoming season’s group sales and student matinee availability.

Shakespeare’s History Plays review sales email sent to members of the Guthrie Theater’s mailing list. To build this, I utilized photos taken by production photographer Dan Norman and sourced audience feedback from the Guthrie Theater’s social media platforms.
